With HolaBot, BellaBot Pro and KettyBot Pro, log-robot now offers tailor-made solutions for restaurants, hotels and the entire hospitality industry – closing a gap that already affects many businesses.
Skills shortage hits catering industry particularly hard – robots provide a solution
Hardly any other industry suffers as much from a shortage of qualified employees as the catering and hotel industry. Endless walking, heavy lifting, high staff turnover – the pressure on businesses is growing. This is exactly where the new models in the log-robot portfolio come in: they reliably take on physically demanding routine tasks so that the human team can get back to what really matters – looking after the guests.
The HolaBot is the workhorse among the new models. With a load capacity of 60 kg and a volume of 120 litres spread across four generous trays, it reliably collects crockery, trays and dirty laundry – shift after shift, without a break and without complaint. Thanks to its unique "Hola Hola" voice recognition and a six-sided omnidirectional microphone, it responds immediately to calls and turns precisely towards the sound source. Contactless operation via gesture recognition makes interaction particularly hygienic – a clear advantage in the kitchen and service areas. In addition, the interior cabin is IPX5-certified waterproof, which makes everyday use under real catering conditions problem-free.
The BellaBot Pro is PUDU's flagship restaurant robot – and for good reason. With its four sturdy trays, it can transport up to eight plates at a time from the kitchen to several tables in a single trip. Thanks to advanced PUDU VSLAM+ technology (a combination of laser and image capture), it navigates safely through crowded dining rooms, recognises obstacles in real time and reliably avoids them. Floor projection lights visually warn guests and staff at intersections of the robot's approach.
What makes BellaBot Pro special is that it is not only a helper, but also an eye-catcher. Its expressive cat face with dozens of facial expressions brings smiles and conversation – among guests and staff alike. The integrated 18.5-inch advertising screen also turns it into a mobile advertising space for daily specials, event announcements or house drinks. Well-known global brands such as Pizza Hut, KFC and Carrefour are already successfully using BellaBot models.
The KettyBot Pro is the all-rounder of the trio. As a reception, escort and marketing robot, it welcomes guests at the entrance, accompanies them to their table and presents current offers, videos or images on its large colour display. It can also actively serve food or be used as a rolling sampling station for new menu items. Thanks to its compact design, it can navigate even through narrow spaces and is designed for up to 8 hours of continuous operation. When the battery is low, it notifies you and returns autonomously to the charging station.
Rapid amortisation – the economic benefits at a glance
A service robot is not an expense, but an investment – and one that quickly pays for itself. In day-to-day operations, a single device replaces a significant portion of the physical routine tasks performed by a service employee: walking between the kitchen and the dining area, carrying heavy stacks of plates, collecting dishes. Businesses regularly report a noticeable reduction in the workload for their teams and a measurable increase in table turnover.
With an average operating time of 8 to 12 hours per battery charge, seven days a week, the initial costs are typically recouped within 12 to 24 months – depending on the size of the business, the application scenario and previous personnel costs. In addition, there are savings that are difficult to plan for, such as fewer sick days, reduced staff turnover and increased workplace attractiveness for existing staff.
It is not only the catering industry that benefits from log-robot's expanded range. With the PUDU T600, a new, powerful heavy-duty transport robot is also being added to the portfolio. As the direct successor to the proven T300, it raises the bar significantly: while the T300 already performs well with a load capacity of 300 kg, the T600 can handle twice that – up to 600 kg.
But sheer power is only part of the story. In its underride version (T600 Underride), the robot can drive specifically under shelves and transport racks, lift them and transport them independently – completely autonomously and without manual repacking. This opens up completely new possibilities for internal logistics in production, warehousing and order picking. VDA5050-compatible and designed for narrow aisle widths, the T600 fits seamlessly into existing intralogistics processes.
