Laser SLAM navigation is another term for the application of LiDAR SLAM to the navigation of autonomous systems. It combines a continuously updated laser data map with real-time position data to calculate optimal routes and navigate autonomously through spaces – without external reference points or GPS. This method offers high stability, even with changing structures in indoor areas (e.g. movable shelves or pallets).
